Opens in a new tab. Copy the text there, come back here and paste.

1 · Paste or type

Paste from Word, Notepad, Google Docs, an email or a web page. Formatting is kept. Text that already has WhatsApp marks like *bold* or Markdown like **bold** is converted too.

2 · Type in your language

Choose a language under Type in and type the way it sounds: namaste becomes नमस्ते in Hindi. Over 100 languages, including Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Arabic and Urdu. Some letters use capitals: in Tamil, vaNakkam gives வணக்கம். On a phone, each word converts when you press space.

3 · Copy and send

Copy for WhatsApp turns the formatting into WhatsApp's own marks, so it shows correctly when you paste it into a chat. Or enter a number under Send to and tap Send on WhatsApp to open the chat with your message ready. Highlight part of the text to copy or send just that part.

4 · Templates

Pick a ready-made Template, or write your own with fields like {First name} or {Amount} and tap Save as template. Choose a saved contact under Send to and the fields fill in with that person's details. Sign in free to keep 2 templates and your own fields.

What formatting does WhatsApp support?

WhatsApp has no underline, so underlined text is kept only when you copy for Word.
